streamline side stretch


Benefits:
  • Increases shoulder and spinal mobility
  • Lengthening through the sides and back
  • Improves streamline

Cues:
  • ​Start in mountain pose
  • ​Inhale and bring your arms up and overhead stretching your arms into a streamline position
  • Standing grounded into the four corners of your feet
  • Exhale and bring your arms and upper body over to the left side

Common Errors:
  • The chin is on the chest - the neck is not fully extended 
  • The feet are not grounded and straight forward
Modifications:
  • Instead of streamline hold onto the right wrist with your left hand

Cautions:
  • Shoulder pain
  • ​Back pain
