Restorative child's pose


Benefits:
  • Relaxes the upper body and hips
  • Restorative qualities

Cues:
  • Start in passive child's pose
  • You can have your arms out in front with your elbows bent or you can have your arms by your sides with your hands at your hips
  • Allow the upper body to completely relax in this pose
  • Place a bolster straight ahead of you with one end in between your knees - you use more than one bolster
  • Fold forward from your hips resting your upper body on the bolster(s)
  • You can place your head on the bolster in whatever position is most comfortable
  • Hands can be out in front of you or at your sides

Common Errors:
Modifications:
  • Your knees can be together rather than out wide
  • You can you another soft block or cushion for your head
