forearm stretch


Benefits:
  • Increases wrist and elbow mobility
  • Decreases tension in the wrists and the hands

Cues:
  • Start in table top
  • Turn your finger tip towards the knees
  • Feel a stretch in the wrist and forearms
  • If you need more intensity start to bring your seat back towards your heels
  • To balance out this pose come back into table top and place the top of the hand onto the ground with the finger tips pointed back towards your knees

Common Errors:
  • Forces the elbows and wrists into a stretch
Modifications:
  • Keep your seat high gradually drawing your seat back towards your heels

Cautions:
  • Pain in the wrists or elbows
Alternative Poses:
  • Extended chest stretch
  • Forearm stretch on the wall
